01

Use narrow passages and keep moving

Cross Allosaurus territory by using narrow rock cracks to reposition, following the marked cave route and treating direct eye contact as a brief chance to move. Escape the initial hunting area through its narrow passages and water route; in the later rail cavern, restore power and complete the floodlight controls to unlock the Motherlode route.

02

Where the Allosaurus hunts begin

The Allosaurus becomes a direct threat in Chapter 3, The Fall, after Jordan restores power around the train area and progresses through the blasted gate. Beyond that gate, make finding the next passage your priority. The later hunt takes place in the large rail cavern, where your objective involves finding four fuses for the floodlight-side control panel.

03

Escape the first hunting area

The note The Allo Has Rules explains the important tradeoff: looking directly at the Allosaurus briefly stops it, but makes it increasingly aggressive. Use that pause to reposition rather than trying to maintain a standoff. Your route through the terrain matters more than holding your ground.

  1. Look directly at the Allosaurus briefly when you need an opportunity to reposition; its temporary stop gives you a chance to make your next move.
  2. Move through a narrow rock crack to put a passage between you and the Allosaurus that it cannot immediately follow.
  3. Follow the marked cave route toward the next narrow passage, keeping your time in the open as short as you can.
  4. Take the water route out of the hunting area to continue beyond the initial escape passages.
  5. Use the bounce goo along the onward route to continue through the cavern terrain.
  6. Wallrun along the onward route to continue into the freight works.

Before leaving a narrow passage, decide which opening or movement surface you are heading for next. If you lose your bearings, focus on identifying the next part of the route instead of making a hurried jump. Keep each move deliberate, especially when the creature is close enough to distract you.

04

Find the rail cavern fuses

The later rail-cavern objective needs four fuses, found in the generator area, lower office, elevated office and locked shed. Use these locations as a collection checklist. Keeping track of the places you have already searched can help you avoid repeating the same trip while under pressure.

LocationWhat to collect
The generator area in the rail cavernCollect the fuse in the generator area.
The lower office in the rail cavernCollect the fuse in the lower office.
The elevated office in the rail cavernCollect the fuse in the elevated office.
The locked shed in the rail cavernCollect the fuse inside the locked shed.
05

Restore power and open the Motherlode route

  1. Start the enclosed generator to begin restoring power in the rail cavern.
  2. Collect the four fuses from the generator area, lower office, elevated office and locked shed to prepare the floodlight-side controls.
  3. Insert the collected fuses beside the floodlights to prepare the system for the main console.
  4. Activate the main console to unlock the Motherlode route and continue beyond the rail-cavern objective.
06

If a rail cavern fuse will not work

If a fuse refuses to work, check that your game is updated before repeating the hunt. A game update fixed an issue where not all four fuses would work during the second Allo hunt. After updating, use the location checklist to review your collection before returning to the floodlight-side controls.
